This is just CRUEL, in my opinion anyway! Blame the animal lover in me, but PETA may have the right to harass a new shoe brand by the name of Rayfish Footwear for creating custom, engineered designs that are etching patterns on to stingray DNA after removal of the original skin. Rayfish Footwear reportedly designs the shoes for you based on nine skin combinations they will offer to consumers.
We all know how much I love shoes, but even I can’t go for this. Not only are the methods being called in to question, but the price for this custom kick, according to Fashionista, will be $1800 USD when the site officially launches later this year.
I don’t think I could — would you wear it?
